Anger Management Classes

Our court approved anger management classes provide a supportive environment for individuals to understand, manage, and channel their emotions constructively. Through evidence-based techniques and practical strategies, participants learn to navigate challenging situations with composure and resilience, fostering healthier relationships and promoting personal growth. Join us as we embark on a journey towards greater emotional well-being and inner peace.

 

Topics Addressed: â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Week 1: Awareness: Explore your anger history, recognize physical, emotional, and behavioral signs, and reflect on whether you or your anger is in control.

Week 2: Hostility: Learn how anger affects your physical health, assess your levels of hostility, and create a plan to reduce it in your life.

Week 3: Triggers: Identify your anger triggers, learn to express anger effectively, and discover the positive outcomes of managing it.

Week 4: Positive Communication: Learn how body language, tone, “I statements,” and reflective listening can help de-escalate conflict.

Week 5: Family Conflict: Identify family “hot spots,” learn strategies for handling conflict, and practice positive communication.

Week 6: Stress Management: Learn the difference between positive and negative stress, assess your stress levels, and develop effective tools to manage it. 

Week 7: Conflict Management: Understand what conflict is, what escalates it, its pros and cons, and strategies for handling it effectively.

Week 8: Survival Skills: Practice assertiveness, develop empathy, and learn tools to prevent resentment and foster forgiveness.

Week 9: Putting it Together: Identify where you are on the violence ladder, understand how self-talk influences anger, and learn strategies to de-escalate it.

Week 10: Individual Plans: Identify the main causes of your anger, learn strategies to manage it, and create a personal plan for handling it effectively.
